Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new business opportunities across automotive, aerospace, defense, industrial, consumer products, medical device, and other manufacturing sectors.

  • Build relationships with executive leaders, engineering organizations, operations teams, procurement, and manufacturing decision-makers.

  • Identify client challenges and position Munro's engineering and consulting capabilities as solutions that deliver measurable value.

  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry events, and strategic outreach.

  • Own the complete sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.

  • Sell complex engineering and manufacturing consulting services using a consultative, value-based sales approach.

  • Lead discovery conversations to understand technical, operational, and business challenges.

  • Present customized solutions that align Munro's expertise with client objectives.

  • Develop proposals, pricing strategies, and statements of work in collaboration with technical teams.

  • Establish long-term relationships that result in repeat business and strategic partnerships.

  • Identify opportunities to expand existing client engagements by introducing additional consulting services.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary commercial contact throughout the client relationship.

  • Maintain regular communication with customers to understand evolving priorities and identify future opportunities.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with engineering, program management, and executive leadership to develop winning client solutions.

  • Cook up internal resources to ensure timely proposal development and successful project transitions.

  • Provide market intelligence on customer needs, industry trends, and competitive activity to support business strategy.

  • Represent Munro at industry conferences, customer meetings, and networking events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of successful business development or sales experience selling engineering services, technical consulting, manufacturing consulting, or other professional services.

  • Demonstrated success developing new business and managing complex sales cycles with enterprise clients.

  • Experience engaging executive leadership, engineering organizations, and technical decision-makers.

  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven ability to communicate technical concepts in a business-focused manner.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating across technical teams.

  • Willingness to travel as needed to support clients and business development activities.
