About the Role
MSX is seeking a bpro Business Development Manager to drive sales of bpro products within the U.S. automotive aftermarket. This role focuses on OEM Dealerships, independent installers, and fleets, requiring full-time travel to support assigned dealerships with inventory management, sales, and marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Travel to dealerships to sell and support bpro products, coordinating marketing and sales programs, including technician training, technical support, and local promotions.
- Act on behalf of dealerships to communicate program features and follow up on sales calls to "close" sales as authorized.
- Understand high-level OEM dealer organization and aftermarket strategy.
- Submit daily sales call reports detailing planned/actual customer visits, sales results by product, and next steps using TrackIT and Excel.
- Provide recommendations on product line expansion, pricing opportunities, and market trends using advanced analytics and data reporting.
- Collaborate with Mopar Headquarters and field personnel to identify and cover open markets.
- Maintain minimum sales contacts:
- One "face-to-face" contact with assigned dealers every 30-45 days.
- Weekly phone contact with every servicing dealer.
- Participate in standard meetings with OEM Business Center personnel.
- Respond to all emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
- Log all contacts in TrackIT.
- Work with the MSXI PMO to manage implementation schedules, dealer contact reports, and post-visit surveys.
Requirements
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience in the automotive aftermarket and/or wholesale parts environment, with specific Stellantis dealer experience preferred.
- Experience in wholesale automotive parts sales, management, and customer requirements.
- Prior aftermarket territory sales management, training, coaching, and consulting preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Highly interpersonal with team-building and participative management skills.
- Proficient with PC, Dealer/IRF Management Systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with automotive operations, including manufacturer, fleet, installer, mechanical parts wholesale, dealership parts management, and aftermarket service departments.
- Basic understanding of automobile repair and technology.
- Experience managing and selling wholesale automotive parts.
Skills
- Professional-level communication abilities in English (additional languages as required).
- High proficiency with PC and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated competency in Mopar/Dealer/Distributor-specific software applications.
- Ability to perform GAP analysis and develop action plans based on findings.
- Comprehensive experience in wholesale parts business planning and marketing.
- Ability to execute program components such as training, reporting, merchandising, marketing, group facilitation, and product demonstrations.
- Proficiency in process development, mapping, evaluation, and execution.
- Capability to formulate business decisions using logical reasoning and solution-based outcomes.
- Self-starting abilities with demonstrated success in environments with limited management oversight and strong teamwork skills.
Physical Demands
- Ability to assemble merchandising displays and deliver marketing materials.
- Capability for multi-day travel and extended physical activity during training seminars.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. without sustaining injury.
Schedule
- Full-time position with up to 90% overnight travel required.
- Accommodates working from a home office location.
