About the role

The bpro Business Development Manager will focus on selling bpro products to OEM Dealerships, independent installers, and fleets in the U.S. automotive aftermarket. This position requires full-time travel.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to assigned Dealerships to sell and support bpro products.
  • Coordinate and communicate marketing and sales programs, including technician training, technical support, local product promotions, and Dealer-funded initiatives.
  • Follow up on sales calls and close sales as authorized by Dealers.
  • Understand OEM Dealer organization and aftermarket strategy at a high level.
  • Submit daily sales call reports detailing planned/actual customer visits, sales results by product, and call summaries/next steps using TrackIT and Excel.
  • Provide recommendations on product line expansion, pricing opportunities, and market trends using advanced analytics and data reporting.
  • Work with Mopar Headquarters and Field personnel to coordinate efforts and identify open markets needing coverage.
  • Maintain minimum sales contacts:
    • One “face-to-face” contact with assigned dealers every 30-45 days.
    • One phone contact with every servicing dealer weekly.
    • Participate in standard meetings with OEM Business Center personnel.
    • Return all emails and phone calls within 24 hours.
  • Log all contacts in TrackIT.
  • Collaborate with the MSXI PMO, which manages implementation schedules, dealer contact reports, post-visit surveys, and survey result compilation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of seven years of professional experience in the automotive aftermarket and/or wholesale parts environment; Stellantis dealer experience preferred.
  • Experience in wholesale automotive parts sales, management, and customer requirements.
  • Prior aftermarket territory sales management, training, coaching, and consulting preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly interpersonal with team-building and participative management skills.
  • Proficient with PC, Dealer/IRF Management Systems, and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated competency in Mopar/Dealer/Distributor-specific software applications.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with automotive operations, including manufacturer, fleet, installer, mechanical parts wholesale, dealership parts management, and aftermarket service departments.
  • Basic understanding of automobile repair and technology.
  • Experience managing and selling wholesale automotive parts.
  • Professional-level communication abilities in English (additional languages as required).

Skills

  • Strategic Skills: Perform GAP analysis of current operating practices and develop comprehensive action plans based on findings. Experience in wholesale parts business planning and marketing highly preferred.
  • Tactical Skills: Execute program components such as training, reporting, merchandising, marketing, group facilitation, and product demonstrations.
  • Process Skills: Proficient in process development, mapping, evaluation, and execution.
  • Reasoning Ability: Formulate business decisions using logical reasoning and offer solution-based outcomes.
  • Self-Starting Abilities: Operate successfully in a business environment with limited management oversight and demonstrated teamwork.

Schedule

  • Full-time position.
  • Up to 90% overnight travel required.
  • Accommodates working from a home office location.
