You will enjoy doing
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities by partnering with regional sales teams and leveraging technical expertise across Linde’s food technologies portfolio
- Grow industrial gases and equipment sales across selected East Region states through value-based, consultative selling with minimal supervision and guidance from the Director of Business Development
- Target customers within chemicals & refining, energy & bio-industrials, and food & beverage industries while managing a territory ideally based in Northern GA, Northern AL, or Eastern TN
- Drive territory growth by prospecting, generating and qualifying leads, developing market strategies, building business cases, supporting proposals and pricing, and overseeing project implementation and startup
- Analyze market trends, regional economic activity, competition, and evolving industry needs to identify opportunities and execute growth campaigns and customer communications
- Monitor competitive activity and develop response strategies by understanding customer needs, financial drivers, operational impacts, and Linde’s technology value and differentiators
- Build and expand relationships with customers, industry consultants, and vendors while collaborating across sales, R&D, applications, equipment, and customer service teams to leverage internal resources and align on strategy
- Contribute to overall sales strategy development with business development and key account teams
What Makes You Great
- Hold a Bachelor of Science degree, with a preference for Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering disciplines
- Bring at least five (5) years of experience in relevant technical sales, including selling or articulating the value of processing equipment, industrial gases, or physical products that impact customer operations
- Demonstrate the ability to travel up to 40% within the assigned territory to support customer needs and business development efforts
- Leverage a proven track record of acquiring new customers, expanding existing accounts, and consistently delivering results through resilience and strong execution
- Apply at least five (5) years of experience in sales or business development within the industrial gases industry to drive market growth
- Possess experience supporting customers in chemicals, oil, energy & gas, and food industries, with knowledge of relevant applications and processes
- Demonstrate familiarity with industrial gas applications in food freezing and chilling processes, along with strong technical and engineering acumen
- Utilize well-developed commercial and business skills to build value-driven solutions and effectively position offerings in the market
