Responsibilities

  • Generate new business and ensure growth of existing customer accounts
  • Develop and implement specific customer plans and priorities in support of organizational goals and objectives
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Present sales presentations and perform cost-benefit and needs analysis for existing and potential customers
  • Travel throughout territory to meet with existing and prospective customers to assess and manage current and upcoming needs
  • Partner and follow up with internal departments and team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment and delivery of orders
  • Participate in business related meetings, conferences, social functions, and organizations to boost the overall exposure of the Company
  • Develop and maintain up to date knowledge of Company and competitor products and pricing, customer trends and feedback, new products, industry, and market changes
  • Advise leadership team of any potential concerns or improvements
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred
  • At least three years of previous experience working in an industrial distribution channel
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
