Business Development Manager
About the role
The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for accelerating B2B sales growth by developing strong partner relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and serving as a passionate representative for Intrepid Travel. As a commercially minded, relationship-focused professional, you'll use your business development expertise to expand market share, deepen partner engagement, and collaborate across teams to deliver meaningful business results. Success in this role is measured through clear KPIs, including sales growth, partner retention, engagement activity, and overall contribution to regional targets.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong partner relationships that drive measurable sales growth and market share
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the travel and tourism industry
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and delivery of strategic initiatives
- Present and execute presentations to potential clients and partners
- Represent Intrepid Travel externally at trade shows, conferences, and other events
- Regularly travel throughout your assigned territory to meet with clients and partners
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in B2B or B2C sales roles, with a proven record of meeting or exceeding performance KPIs and sales targets
- Experience in outside sales, account management, or business development
- 2+ years of experience in the travel and tourism industry
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle, with willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory
Qualifications
- Excellent public speaking, presentation creation and execution, and communication skills, with confidence representing the brand externally
- Strong personal drive, commercial acumen, and motivation to deliver against defined sales and engagement metrics

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM software and other relevant tools

Pay
The salary for this role is $72,000–$78,000 USD, depending on experience, plus a performance-based commission structure.
Schedule
This is a full-time, permanent remote position that requires regular travel throughout your assigned territory.
