Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new wholesale accounts, prestige retail partnerships, and international distribution channels to expand market share.
- Own the end-to-end B2B sales lifecycle—from cold prospecting and pitching executive stakeholders to negotiating complex commercial terms, margin structures, and legal contracts.
- Travel quarterly to key territories to conduct in-person pitches to C-suite retail buyers, audit regional shelf-space execution, evaluate competitor footprints, and deepen relationships with major accounts.
- Partner closely with Brand Marketing, Supply Chain, and Product Development to ensure newly acquired retail partners are equipped with the inventory, visual merchandising assets, and marketing support needed for successful launches.
- Data-Driven Revenue Forecasting: Conduct rigorous market research, competitor benchmarking, and financial modeling to forecast revenue potential for new territories and present actionable growth cases to executive leadership.
- Nurture and scale existing strategic accounts, executing joint business plans to maximize shelf space, introduce product extensions, and optimize sell-through velocity.
Qualifications
- Education & Domain Literacy: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field. Passion for and deep understanding of beauty industry trends, clean beauty standards, and consumer shopping behaviors is highly preferred.
- Professional Experience: 3+ years of proven success in a B2B business development, account management, or corporate sales role—specifically within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Beauty, Fashion, or Luxury Retail industries.
- Negotiation & Commercial Mastery: Demonstrated track record of hitting and exceeding aggressive revenue quotas and navigating complex commercial negotiations regarding wholesale margins, slotting fees, and exclusivity clauses.
- Analytical & Financial Acumen: Strong proficiency in Excel and data analytics tools to analyze retail performance, inventory metrics, and calculate profitability/ROI on prospective deals.
- CRM & Pipeline Architecture: Power-user familiarity with modern CRM platforms (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Veeva) to maintain data hygiene and map out complex multi-year sales pipelines.
- Presentation & Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, charisma, and storytelling skills, with the absolute confidence required to pitch and influence C-suite retail buyers and global distributors.
