Build relationships, grow our reach, and change lives in West Indianapolis and the surrounding areas. We're looking for a Business Development Manager with a heart for our community and the drive to match it—someone who builds trust naturally, shows up consistently, and turns relationships into referrals for seniors who need care.

About the role

The Business Development Manager ensures achievement of revenue objectives for their service area by generating new referral sources and maintaining relationships with existing ones. This role reports directly to the General Manager of the franchise location and is responsible for reporting weekly progress, successes, and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Reflect the core values of Klipsch Senior Care, LLC, d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead franchise.
  • Research and develop Referral Provider Network relationships, performing all phases of the consultative sales process (cold calls, follow-ups, needs diagnosis, service recommendations, and account nurturing).
  • Achieve inquiry generation objectives for the West Indianapolis territory to increase overall market share, targeting hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, and rehabilitation centers.
  • Develop and execute sales and marketing plans in collaboration with franchise leadership, detailing weekly and monthly activities to meet or exceed goals.
  • Present Home Instead marketing materials and services to referral providers through 1:1 meetings and formal group presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities (calls, presentations, closed sales, follow-ups) using software to maximize territory potential.
  • Build a database of qualified leads through face-to-face cold calling, email, telephone, and web outreach.
  • Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed, following the consultative sales process.
  • Conduct initial client/Care Professionals introductions and quality assurance visits with clients as needed.
  • Participate in PR strategies and contribute to educational programs for clients, prospects, and co-workers.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes.

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Related business or sales experience (consultative sales a plus).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Understanding of and ability to uphold company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and good decision-making.
  • Discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly work.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and ability to operate office equipment and HI technology systems.
  • Willingness to work evenings or weekends as required.

You might be a great fit if you…

  • Genuinely love connecting with people and remember the details that matter to them.
  • Have a heart for seniors and the community you’d be serving.
  • Are persistent—you follow up, show up, and don’t let relationships go cold.
  • Are self-driven and can manage your own territory and pipeline without constant oversight.
  • Thrive on the sales process, from the first cold call to the signed referral partnership.
