Duties & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships within the assigned territory, including customers, architects, engineers, owners, and general contractors.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, market research, and lead generation.
  • Respond to customer, architect, engineer, and construction manager inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support and achieve revenue and growth objectives.
  • Conduct routine site visits before and after project award to support sales and project execution.
  • Work closely with estimators and project managers to develop accurate estimates, proposals, and scopes of work.
  • Cover with designers to ensure designs are complete, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Review architectural and engineering drawings, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Support other Business Development Managers as needed.
  • Communicate with owners, general contractors, and project stakeholders regarding installation progress, issues, and required modifications.
  • Partner with estimators to ensure pricing aligns with customer expectations while maintaining cost efficiency.
  • Confer with superintendents, owners, general contractors, and subcontractors to resolve work procedures, concerns, or installation issues.
  • Represent the company professionally in the field and serve as a brand ambassador.
  • Lead by example in quality, safety, organization, professionalism, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, opportunity, and pipeline information in Salesforce.
  • Travel, including overnight travel, to job sites as required.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven ability to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of the artificial turf and/or track industry, grading, flooring, or general construction is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate, collaborate with, and support cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent client relationship management and customer service skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, reasoning, and basic math skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management and sound decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; familiarity with AutoCAD, Google Earth, and internet-based research tools is preferred.
  • Experience using CRM systems, including Salesforce, with the ability to consistently input and maintain accurate data.
  • Willingness and ability to travel out of town to support job sites and client needs.
