We’re hiring a MedTech Business Development Manager for a fast-growing company in Columbus, Ohio. CMD MedTech is a consulting firm focused on helping innovative medical device companies get their products to market and keep them there. Our team thrives on collaboration, integrity, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Energized by meeting new people and building long-term relationships, not just closing deals
  • Navigate conversations with engineers, executives, and founders with equal ease
  • Represent CMD at conferences, trade shows, and industry events
  • Organized, disciplined, and known for following up and following through
  • Identify high-quality opportunities and shape them into well-scoped engagements
  • Value integrity and transparency—no shortcuts, no surprises
  • Thrive in an environment where hard work and outcomes are rewarded and directly tied to your success
  • Understand the medical device ecosystem and the challenges companies face with design controls, regulatory submissions, and EU MDR
  • Excited to help CMD grow in a way that strengthens our culture and our impact

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of business development, sales, or account management experience—ideally in medical devices, life sciences, or engineering/regulatory consulting
  • A genuine ability to build trust with technical buyers
  • A proven track record of growing relationships over time
  • Confidence and presence at industry events—you work a room naturally
  • Strong organizational habits and reliable follow-through
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong network in the medical device industry
  • Columbus-based, with willingness to travel (25-40%)
