Business Development Manager

About the role

CapsLock is expanding its reach into new industries such as insurance, senior care, healthcare, wellness, and beauty. The role is a pure "hunter" focused on securing new business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Research target industries and companies with the growth team and a dedicated researcher
• Identify key decision-makers and build smart, multi-channel outreach sequences
• Book meetings with potential clients, prioritizing quality over quantity
• Attend industry conferences to network, gather insights, and share findings
• Learn and apply our value proposition and messaging playbook
• Work closely with the launch and CRO teams to refine strategies and maintain accurate pipeline data

Requirements

• 5-7+ years in business development/client acquisition with heavy cold outreach
• A book of business you built from scratch, with real numbers to demonstrate performance
• Expert-level proficiency in LinkedIn Sales Navigator
• Hands-on experience with a sales CRM/outreach platform (Apollo, Outreach, Salesloft, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar)
• Multichannel prospecting skills, using sequences, creativity, and persistence
• A mature, strategic, process-driven mindset with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Based in the US or Canada, able to work EST hours and travel to conferences
