About the role

We need a Business Development Manager who can quickly learn our services and mission, then effectively communicate our value to clients in rapidly growing markets such as digital forensics and cyber security. You’ll lead clients through their journey to a successful and growing relationship with Capsicum, consistently exceeding your quota.

Responsibilities

  • Complete hands-on professional services training by participating in ongoing projects with emphasis on forensics, eDiscovery, and cyber security, maintaining a steep learning curve throughout your tenure.
  • Utilize digital marketing and big data research to achieve sales goals.
  • Establish and build sustainable relationships with decision makers within law firms and legal departments, navigating complex organizations to move deals forward to closure.
  • Use solution selling to close business based on value (not price) with Corporate Information Security Officers (CISOs), Litigation Managers, and other key decision makers.
  • Collaborate with the wider sales team, marketing, and service line leaders to turn opportunities into deals, share front-line insights, and build the collective skills of the team.
  • Exceed your quota within the first year through disciplined execution of the sales process, including prospecting, qualifying, presenting, proposing, and closing.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in sales, legal marketing, or account management.
  • A background in technology, law, and familiarity with the marketing and sales of professional services.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
  • Motivation to provide clients with superior service and value.
  • Confidence in delivering difficult but necessary feedback to senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, with the ability to empathize and relate to people.
  • Openness to feedback and constructive criticism as tools for growth.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and chaos with composure while staying organized.

Nice to Haves

  • An advanced degree (JD, MBA, etc.).
  • Sales or marketing management experience.
  • Experience selling or marketing computer forensics or cyber security.

Skills

  • Working knowledge of forensics and electronic discovery.
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality.

  • Knowledge of Relativity and other litigation software.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
