About the role
ARU London offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Business and Management; Finance and Accounting; Hospitality, Events and Tourism; Health; and Law. We currently have over 5,000 students at our East London campus, close to the East India Docklands Light Railway stop. Our National Student Survey (NSS) 2026 results demonstrated high levels of student satisfaction.
We are seeking a student-centred and innovative academic as a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (dependent on experience) to teach across Business, Hospitality, Events and Tourism Management. The successful applicant will be a proactive, supportive, and values-led member of the ARU London community, providing evidence-informed teaching and potentially acting as a module leader.
Responsibilities
- Design, review, and develop module material in line with contemporary evidence, data, and professional body requirements where applicable.
- Deliver lectures, tutorials, and seminars according to the prepared module plan and contact hours.
- Engage students in a dynamic, interactive, and stimulating learning experience.
Requirements
- Qualified to a minimum of Master’s degree level in a relevant discipline (doctoral qualifications are desirable).
- Prior experience teaching in Business, Hospitality, Events, or Tourism Management.
- Fellowship (or commitment to gain fellowship) of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
- A strong grounding in industry will be an advantage.
