Business Development Manager
JOB SUMMARY
The primary function of the Business Development Manager will be to accelerate sales and growth in their territory (portions of New Jersey and Pennsylvania), developing and executing strategies to attract new clients through networking, cold-calling, and other outreach methods. The individual in this position will work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, customer support) to align efforts and improve offerings and will also support and service key accounts.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accelerate sales and grow the area, developing and executing strategies to attract new clients through networking, cold calling, and other outreach methods.
- Work with marketing on desired literature to help support verticals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, customer support) to align efforts and improve offerings (i.e. by presenting findings and attending sales roll up calls with team members to support progress).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in business development or related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Experience in the water and process industry.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
