Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national business development strategy.
- Leverage an existing network of industry relationships to identify opportunities.
- Cold call, qualify, and develop new leads.
- Research potential clients, projects, and market opportunities.
- Build relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers, and consultants.
- Coordinate proposal and presentation efforts with internal teams.
- Support preconstruction and project pursuit activities.
- Track business development activity and provide updates to leadership.
- Grow prospects into repeat clients and strategic accounts.
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or client development experience within the construction industry.
- Established book of business and existing relationships within the AEC community.
- Proven ability to generate new opportunities through cold calling, networking, and relationship development.
- Experience selling construction, design-build, EPC, engineering, or related services.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and project pursuits (40%).
Qualifications
- General Contractor business development experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with design-build project delivery.
- Existing relationships with developers, owners, architects, engineers, brokers, and consultants.
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field is a plus.
- Experience leading proposal, pursuit, and presentation efforts.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $100,000.00 - $200,000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
