About the role

The Business Development Manager – Americas is responsible for developing and qualifying new business opportunities across the Western Hemisphere in support of Motive Offshore Group’s strategic growth objectives. Working closely with the Head of Business Development, the role develops strategic client relationships, market intelligence and builds a qualified pipeline for handover to Key Account Managers and Sales teams. This is an opportunity to take ownership of business development across our growing Americas region, building new Client relationships and identifying opportunities across global markets. In this role, you’ll significantly contribute to Motive developing strong sales pipelines, influencing our commercial direction and play a key role in growing Motive’s offering in this part of the world.

About the team

You’ll be joining our Commercial Department, reporting to the Head of Business Development and working closely with teams across the Motive Group. The Business Development team is focused on identifying new opportunities, developing Client relationships and driving pipeline growth across our markets and services. You’ll also work closely with our Sales and Americas regional team to support Motive’s continued commercial growth. And you’ll be working alongside a committed and proud Motive team in the UK and globally that want to play their part in the growth of the business and support each other daily to create a positive, values driven and hard-working professional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Adopt and promote the Motive Offshore Group People Values and ensuring their use is embedded throughout.
  • Be a positive ambassador for Motive Offshore Group Ltd.
  • Develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders – clients, colleagues etc.
  • Lead by example in setting the highest possible standards in the promotion of People Values, HSEQ procedures and best practice, ensuring compliance to the Motive Offshore Group HSEQ Policy, procedures, standards and regulatory obligations.
  • Immediately report all accidents, incidents, near misses or environmental concerns.
  • Adhere to and participate in company-wide sustainability policies, procedures and initiatives as they are developed to support our Net Zero objectives.
  • Develop and execute regional business development plan for the Americas, aligned with Motive's strategic priorities.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities across the region, including but not limited to the USA, Brazil, Canada and the CARICOM.
  • Maintain a robust and accurate Salesforce pipeline and ensure leads are entered and tracked within Salesforce (CRM system).
  • Develop relationships with global operators, vessel contractors, drilling contractors, asset owners and regulatory stakeholders; holding regular meetings to present Motive's TIC offering.
  • Support Market Entry Plans through market intelligence and competitor analysis.
  • As directed by the Head of Business Development lead assigned Development Accounts with the goal to enhance client relations and develop a qualified sales pipeline.
  • Support proposals and strategic tenders as required, and the securing of MSAs and/or Framework Agreements.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering and Contracts to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Represent Motive Offshore Group at industry events and client meetings.
  • Promote cross-selling opportunities across all business units.

Required skills / knowledge

  • Significant Business Development, Commercial experience within offshore energy sector.
  • Business development experience in the Western Hemisphere, with existing Client base.
  • Commercial awareness and contract knowledge.
  • CRM experience (preferably Salesforce).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
  • Experience in the subsea sector, particularly flexible flowline/umbilical installation.
  • Experience with MSAs, Framework Agreements and strategic tenders.
  • Knowledge of Rystad Energy.
  • University degree.
