Position Overview
OWT Global is seeking a Business Development Lead to support strategic Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (C-UAS) growth initiatives across its Air Domain Awareness & Defense (ADAD) directorate and related mission areas within the Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), and federal government. This role is responsible for identifying, shaping, and advancing new business opportunities that align with OWT Global's strategic growth objectives. The Business Development Lead will engage directly with government stakeholders, industry partners, and mission operators to understand emerging requirements, influence acquisition strategies, develop strategic relationships, and position the company for long-term success. While the primary focus of this position is business development, customer engagement, and opportunity shaping, the selected candidate will also be expected to lead select opportunities through the capture lifecycle. This includes developing pursuit strategies, coordinating internal resources, supporting solution development, and guiding qualified opportunities from early shaping through proposal submission and contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives and mission-area priorities
- Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across DWD, IC, and federal government customers
- Build and maintain relationships with government decision-makers, program offices, operational users, acquisition stakeholders, and industry partners
- Represent OWT Global at customer meetings, industry events, conferences, demonstrations, and strategic engagements
- Maintain awareness of customer priorities, emerging requirements, funding activities, acquisition strategies, and competitive landscapes
- Support pipeline development, opportunity forecasting, and strategic account planning activities
- Drive early opportunity shaping efforts through customer engagement, market intelligence, and mission-focused solution development
- Cook up with operational, engineering, and technical teams to align customer requirements with company capabilities
- Support development of strategic growth artifacts including capability briefings, white papers, RFI responses, concept papers, and customer-facing presentations
- Provide market assessments, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations to company leadership
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership to identify new markets, customers, and growth initiatives
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of demonstrated success supporting business development and capture of programs within the DoW, IC, and federal government contract space OR 10 years of combined military service and industry experience
- Proven experience supporting and winning competitive DoW or federal opportunities in C-UAS, UxS, C5ISR, or related mission areas
- Understanding of federal acquisition processes
- Experience supporting multi-disciplinary capture and proposal efforts
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and deadline-driven environments
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Active Secret clearance required
Desired Skills
- Experience supporting C-UxS and/or Airspace Management mission systems
- Familiarity with DoW customers including Army, Air Force, SOCOM, Navy, and Intelligence Community stakeholders
- Experience supporting OTA, IDIQ, GWAC, SBIR transition, and other non-traditional acquisition pathways
- Existing relationships with government customers, industry partners, and mission stakeholders
- Understanding of pricing strategies, proposal development, and competitive positioning
- Military, operational, or deployed experience highly valued
- Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, or related field preferred
