Business DevelopmentInternship
About the role
Hyde Aviation is building a data-driven business development function inside the business aircraft brokerage industry and is recruiting a select group of college students to join it. This is a structured, supervised, performance-based program that is 90%+ hands-on, not a shadowing internship. Associates are given real accounts, real transaction responsibility, and real accountability.
Responsibilities
- Work directly within Hyde Aviation’s transaction pipeline, applying proprietary market and registry data to identify, engage, and advance opportunities with aircraft owners and buyers nationwide
- Carry individual responsibility for a personal production target and be exposed to a significant volume of additional transaction activity across the firm
Personal production target
- Approximately $1.5M in aircraft transaction value over the program
Additional exposure
- Tens of millions of dollars in transaction flow across the broader firm
Time commitment
- 16–18 hours per week, comprising 15 hours of supervised business development work plus regular team meetings, scheduled around your academic calendar
- Fully supervised, with defined coaching and reporting
Program timeline
- October 15 – December 15, 2026: Initial cohort
- January 15 – March 15, 2027: Advanced cohort, by invitation, for top performers from this program
- Ongoing: Associates who meet performance targets in the advanced cohort will be invited to part-time or full-time (depending on obligations) long-term roles on Hyde Aviation’s brokerage team
Who we're looking for
This program is intentionally selective and best suited to students who are prepared to treat it as a serious professional commitment alongside their academic schedule. We are looking for associates who are diligent, coachable, and motivated by measurable results.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university, any class year
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with data and quantitative reasoning
- Available for the full 16–18 hour weekly commitment across the program window
- Candidates based in Oklahoma, Texas, and New York are especially encouraged to apply; the search is national
