Rather than traditional consulting or staffing, we embed experienced, cross-functional C-suite operators directly into organizations to drive execution during moments of growth, complexity, and transformation on a fractional basis. We are the first cross-functional, one-stop shop where our executives work collectively using the same IP and modeling.
Clients can hire our executives function-by-function, or we can deploy a "swarmed" solution to become the coordinated layer of cross-functional execution (CEO, COO, CFO, CMO, CSO, CTO, CHRO, etc.).
The Opportunity
This is a high-upside, 100% commission-based hunter role with uncapped earning potential and first-year contract participation. Because it is an independent contractor (1099) opportunity, it is intentionally designed for entrepreneurial sales professionals and former executives who want to leverage their existing executive relationships to build an additional revenue stream.
Many of our top performers successfully maintain their current W-2 careers, consulting practices, or fractional businesses while partnering with us. The Proper Group is in its early phases, and equity participation is available for the right candidates.
What You'll Do
Your job is simple: Create executive conversations.
- Focus entirely on relationship building and opportunity creation with CEOs, founders, and board members.
- Identify organizations experiencing:
- Rapid growth or operational complexity
- Ledger transitions or succession planning
- AI adoption and digital transformation
- Revenue pressure or growth stagnation
- M&A integration or executive team pivots
You introduce those organizations to The Proper Group’s executive collective, and our platform helps take care of the rest.
What You're Selling
You are not selling staffing, traditional consulting, or a stack of resumes. You are selling Collective Leadership-as-a-Service (#CLaaS) across four core pillars:
- Fractional Executive Cross-Functional Services: We invented the process and championed the systems. We provide part-time, top-tier functional talent that delivers not-part-time results. These 20+ year seasoned leaders get clients over their inflection points with a faster ROI in a sustainable, scalable way.
- Advisor & Strategy Services: Led exclusively by senior operators. We don't believe in the old model where a senior partner "shakes babies and parachutes out," leaving the client with a junior associate who has never run a business. Our strategists stay in the trenches.
- Interim Services: The perfect "wedge" solution for short-term vacancies (illness, parental leave, short-term disability, sabbaticals) or when a company hasn't found the right W-2 fit but cannot let momentum go cold. This is typically full-time execution for under a year.
- Large Enterprise Technology & Change Management Implementation: When a client's internal team is maxed out but a major implementation must go seamlessly. Instead of an implementation firm where the client is just a support ticket, we embed a project-based, non-W-2 Subject Matter Expert to see the project from conceptualization to training, launch, and troubleshooting. They leverage what has actually worked in other massive organizations for flawless execution.
Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)

- We operate extensively in pre- and post-Private Equity, Venture Capital, Family Office investments, M&A acquisitions, and non-profit management.
