Business Development Director
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and driven Business Development Director to lead and inspire our hospital's inpatient and outpatient growth in an IRF and/or LTCH setting. In this senior leadership role, you will design and implement innovative referral programs, drive census growth, and foster a culture centered on patient safety and care excellence. You will guide, train, and develop a dynamic Business Development team while creating strategies that align with our mission and deliver exceptional outcomes for patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Review, evaluate, and monitor critical numbers and progress toward goals.
- Understand and manage operational and financial metrics, marketing operations (including hiring and recruiting staff), admission processes, and the reimbursement system.
- Communicate opportunities and threats in the marketplace to senior management.
- Identify new and repackage existing product lines in collaboration with hospital leadership.
Requirements
- Driver's license and acceptable driving record according to company policy.
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a marketing representative or nurse liaison in a healthcare environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related area preferred.
- Successful track record in leading, managing, or direct sales and marketing, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Experience with physician relations, case management, managed care, and knowledge of the local healthcare market preferred.
