About the role

Based in New York, the Business Development Coordinator will assist with business development and visibility initiatives for assigned litigation practices and lawyers. This role works closely with the Business Development Manager to drive growth and support marketing activities, while also collaborating with other coordinators on team infrastructure and department projects. The position reports to the Senior Manager, Business Development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of collateral materials, such as practice group descriptions, attorney biographies, practice area capability statements, and web content.
  • Support the creation and formatting of marketing pitches and proposal materials, ensuring content accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with profile-raising activities for assigned practices and attorneys, including events, webinars, community involvement, conferences, and professional associations.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for firm-hosted events.
  • Support the execution of sponsorship deliverables and assist with attorney presentations for speaking engagements.
  • Maintain and update pitch tracking, reporting, mailing lists, and other data points within the CRM system.
  • Ensure organized file maintenance in the Document Management System and update case information in the Experience Database.
  • Help compile practice and lawyer submissions for directories and rankings.
  • Assist with regular reporting on team activities and practice updates.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional professional interpersonal skills; ability to interact with executives comfortably.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound, independent judgements.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.
  • University degree.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.

Pay

The annual compensation range for this position is $70,000–$80,000. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
