Job Summary

The Business Development Associate (BDA) supports ESAero's revenue generation and profitability by working closely with various departments and providing technical support to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support all varieties of Business Development activities at ESAero.
  • Ensure adherence to the highest ethical standards throughout the Business Development process.
  • Develop and implement ESAero's investment strategy.
  • Manage and participate in strategic investments to align with sales objectives.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking of competitor products as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of existing and emerging technologies relevant to ESAero's enterprise.
  • Capture and transmit customer feedback to ESAero's Operations teams for product improvements and future offerings.
  • Manage consolidated databases of ESAero's Intellectual Property (IP), products, and service offerings.
  • Collaborate with Contracts and Legal departments to protect ESAero's IP and data rights.
  • Convert ESAero's IP, capabilities, and capacity into sales opportunities.
  • Create and maintain public and proprietary marketing materials.
  • Prepare and maintain public marketing materials such as brochures, website content, and other public facing content.
  • Prepare and maintain proprietary marketing materials such as company overviews and offering-specific presentations.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows on behalf of ESAero.
  • Conduct and/or coordinate field demonstrations of ESAero's products.
  • Establish and coordinate private meetings with key customer stakeholders.
  • Respond to customers' requests for information (RFI).
  • Support the Bids and Proposals lifecycle.
  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities from marketing and outreach efforts.
  • Prepare and maintain proposal and pricing templates with up-to-date content and rates.
  • Prepare sales quotes and project proposals with agreed-upon pricing, scopes of work (SOW), and supplemental proposal materials as needed.
  • Brief Company leadership as required for pricing approvals.
  • Interface with key stakeholders and contracts officers to capture purchase orders.
  • Interact with different functional disciplines within ESAero to address customer requests.
  • Report to the Director of Business Development on operations, outcomes, and challenges.
  • Maintain tracking of opportunities in the Salesforce database.
  • Provide routine reports on Business Development achievements.
  • Support the Vice President of Business Development in ensuring the Business Development budget is spent effectively.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Motivated self-starter with demonstrated ability to achieve results through motivation and coordination of others.
  • Experience in Business Development with a solid understanding of the process.
  • Aptitude to quickly understand and present new technical topics.
  • Knowledge of MS Office principles and software.
  • US Citizenship eligible for Secret Level security clearance.
  • Ability to travel (up to 15%) and conduct work in an office environment.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: 4-year degree in Engineering or technical field.
  • Prior government engineering or sales experience.
  • Experience managing engineering projects and/or manufacturing operations.
  • Experience with aerodynamics, electric motors, batteries, RF, manufacturing, and/or Aerospace & UAS related functions.
  • Aviation and/or Aerospace background.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • DCAA knowledge and experience.
  • Contracting (government and commercial) terms and conditions.

Pay Range

$70,400 - 100,500 Salary/Exempt
