About the role
Tyro Athene is seeking a Business Development Analyst to support enterprise growth strategy, market intelligence, and capture execution across the Federal marketplace. This role sits within the Growth organization and plays a critical part in identifying qualified opportunities, maintaining pipeline integrity, and delivering data-driven insights to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Conduct structured research using SAM.gov, USAspending, FPDS, GovWin, agency forecasts, and other federal BD tools.
- Develop competitive intelligence briefs, SWOT analyses, and account profiles aligned to Tyto’s core technology domains.
- Support capture teams in opportunity shaping, teaming research, win strategy development, and bid/no-bid analysis.
- Affiliate with drafting Sources Sought, RFIs, past performance summaries, and capability briefings leveraging AI-enabled BD platforms.
- Perform contract history research, labor category benchmarking, and pricing intelligence analysis.
- Maintain daily accuracy and completeness of BD pipeline data within CRM systems.
- Synchronize opportunity tracking data into CRM for executive visibility.
- Develop dashboards, charts, and reports to support Monthly Growth Reviews and leadership updates.
- Manipulate large, complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
- Present research findings in written and oral formats to cross-functional and executive audiences.
- Represent Tyto at industry days, conferences, and networking events as required.
Requirements
- Required Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2-4 years of experience supporting federal business development, capture, or market intelligence efforts.
- Working knowledge of the federal procurement lifecycle (pre-RFP through award).
- Experience with federal BD tools (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, USAspending, FPDS, agency forecasts).
- Experience working in CRM systems.
- Strong analytical and data manipulation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. Compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements.

Location: Hybrid - Reston Town Center HQ (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office)
