Business Developer

About The Role

We’re seeking a true “hunter” Business Developer who thrives on prospecting, uncovering new opportunities, and winning new business. This is not an account management role—it’s about building new relationships, generating leads, and closing deals to drive growth. You’ll be in the field actively identifying commercial property prospects, presenting customized solutions, and securing long-term landscape maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the commercial landscaping market
• Conduct cold calls, site visits, and attend networking events to build a pipeline of qualified leads
• Build relationships with property managers, HOAs, commercial property owners, and decision-makers
• Develop and present customized maintenance solutions and proposals
• Collaborate with operations and estimating teams on pricing and service planning
• Track sales activity in CRM software and submit weekly progress reports
• Ensure a smooth handoff to account management and field teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of B2B sales experience; landscaping, facilities, or service industry experience preferred
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable prospecting and developing new business
• Comfortable working independently in the field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Able to pass a background check and drug screening
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus

Pay

Base salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year plus 4% commission on qualified sales.
