About the Opportunity

The Business Continuity Program Manager leads and develops the global business continuity program within a regulated manufacturing environment. The role ensures operational resilience and recovery from disruptions, supporting manufacturing operations and critical business functions. It contributes by embedding continuity into daily operations and risk management, providing strategic insight to senior leaders, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Build and strengthen the global business continuity program aligned with industry standards and regulatory policies.
  • Chair the Business Continuity Steering Committee, engaging senior leaders in risk management and decision-making.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards on risk exposure, readiness, and program gaps for leadership.
  • Develop and standardize tools and templates for business continuity elements such as plans, impact analyses, and exercises.
  • Ensure scalability and consistent application of methodologies across global operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement and sustain site-level and functional business continuity plans.
  • Conduct business impact analyses to identify critical processes and recovery priorities.
  • Define recovery objectives including Recovery Time Objectives and Maximum Tolerable Period of Disruption.
  • Support and document tabletop exercises and simulations with internal and external partners.
  • Assess preparedness, track corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Design and deliver business continuity training and promote awareness organization-wide.
  • Serve as subject matter expert during regulatory inspections, audits, and assessments.
  • Coordinate responses to corporate, customer, and stakeholder continuity requests.
  • Guide site or functional continuity coordinators as needed.
  • Support crisis management and incident response during major disruptions.
  • Collaborate across multiple functions and regions, including international travel and flexible hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years in business continuity, operational resilience, risk management, or compliance.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Knowledge of ISO 22301 and familiarity with FDA regulations and ISO 13485.
  • Experience supporting audits, regulatory inspections, and customer assessments is preferred.
  • Strong operational mindset with practical application skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Educational background in business continuity, operational resilience, or related fields.
  • Effective communication skills across all organizational levels and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence without direct authority.
  • Professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
