About the role

EY’s Life Sciences Consulting Services team assists clients in finding the right balance between protecting the business and driving measurable value. This senior role within our Consulting practice will have the opportunity to lead large engagements, build solutions, lead teams, and innovate in the market. Our practice works with large pharma, biotechnology, medical device manufacturers, and medical technology industries.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting client engagement teams and working with a wide variety of clients to deliver professional services in the life sciences domain.
  • Leading key workstreams as part of large-scale client engagements and consistently delivering high quality deliverables.
  • Helping Manager and Senior Managers manage risk and helping ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes.
  • Staying abreast of current business and industry trends relevant to the client's business.
  • Fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment by playing an active role in counselling and mentoring staff consultants within the organization.
  • Developing relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.
  • Remaining current on new developments in the life sciences advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology.
  • 3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas:
  • Commercial analytics
  • Brand strategy
  • Pricing and market access
  • Commercial operations model transformation
  • Digital campaign management strategy
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.)
  • Experience with commercial operations and analytics
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • A willingness to travel to meet client needs
  • Advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred

Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge in targeted disease areas including oncology, immunology, neurology and cell and gene therapies
  • Strong commercial strategy skills with exposure to commercial analytics and market access
  • Prior experience working in a strategy or boutique consulting company and managing a team of at least 3 reports
  • Experience in running primary research interviews and quantitative surveys in the life science
  • Experience with market access and knowledge of US market access dynamics including IRA, Medicare, Medicaid would be appreciated

To qualify for the role you must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Biology, Pharmacology and 3+ years biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience and experience providing advisory services in these industries, focused in at least one of the following areas: commercial analytics, brand strategy, pricing and market access, commercial operations model transformation, digital campaign management strategy, familiarity with pharmaceutical datasets (e.g. pricing databases, prescription and claims databases, etc.), experience with commercial operations and analytics, proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, a willingness to travel to meet client needs, and advisory/consulting experience within life sciences is preferred.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $93,600 to $154,500. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $112,400 to $175,600. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography.
