About the Role

Drives commercial trucks with air brakes and hydraulic lift to deliver merchandise to businesses. Responsible for unloading orders from trucks, collecting payments, issuing return credits, and completing paperwork. Provides high-level member service.

Responsibilities

• Collects Driver Route Sheet, truck assignment, driver manifests, member invoices, audit notes, resale cards, phone, and driver tablet.
• Conducts a safety inspection of the delivery truck using a hand-held tablet.
• Visually inspects pallets in trucks to ensure the correct number loaded, including frozen and cooler items; applies pallet straps when necessary.
• Drives to complete up to 25 delivery stops per day.
• Reviews invoice to locate merchandise; cuts shrink-wrap from pallet and removes merchandise using manual or electric pallet jack, hand truck, dolly, or hydraulic lift.
• Verifies all items and quantities delivered with members; checks substitutions for approval and obtains signatures and payments.
• Provides prompt and courteous member service; arranges delivery of missing items.
• Loads damaged or refused items into the truck for return to the warehouse; issues return receipts.
• Drives delivery truck back to warehouse after all deliveries; arranges for returned items to be checked in by a manager.
• Turns in paperwork, payments, phone, and tablet.
• Ensures proper cleanup and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Operates vehicles, equipment, or machinery as required.
• Assists with department duties and other warehouse departments as necessary.

Requirements

• Ability to operate commercial trucks with air brakes and hydraulic lifts.
• Open availability to meet business needs (except for religious or disability considerations).
• Proof of authorization to work in the United States required if hired.
