Business Banking- Governance Associate
About the role
The Business Banking Governance team provides central oversight for alignment to firmwide and CCB policies and standards. The team offers support and guidance to enable business groups to understand and successfully meet expectations.
As an Associate on the Business Banking Governance team, you will conduct research, analyze data, identify strategic opportunities, and recommend enhancements to critical business processes across Business Banking and beyond. Emphasis will be placed on the end-to-end experience for customers and bankers. You will assist with various initiatives and ad-hoc projects, collaborating across Business Banking, Lines of Business in Consumer and Community Banking (CCB), and the broader firm.
Responsibilities
- Review relevant policies, standards, and procedures
- Research processes end-to-end and understand the risks and controls throughout
- Conduct system(s) and product research to build subject matter expertise
- Analyze information and understand how it corresponds with the process
- Collaborate with colleagues across Business Banking, other CCB sub-LOBs, and beyond
- Lead discussions and work closely with Legal, Risk, Controls, and Compliance
- Provide recommendations to improve processes for efficiency and compliance
- Summarize and present results, recommendations, and status updates
Requirements
- Highly motivated, energetic self-starter with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (strategy, product management)
- Strategic thinker who can problem solve, anticipate needs, and provide solutions to stakeholders
- Adaptable to change and able to re-prioritize as business needs evolve
- Ability to partner and collaborate effectively; comfortable leading initiatives across teams
- Experience developing executive presentations and presenting to senior leadership
- Good working knowledge of controls in a business
- Experience identifying issues and resolving root causes
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Business Banking processes, procedures, and business applications
- Ability to quickly grasp new concepts
- Advanced proficiency in Alteryx and Tableau

Pay
We offer a competitive total rewards package including base salary determined based on the role, experience, skill set, and location. Those in eligible roles may receive commission-based pay and/or discretionary incentive compensation, paid in the form of cash and/or forfeitable equity, awarded in recognition of individual achievements and contributions.
