This role supports credit underwriting and monitoring for new and existing clients, reporting to the Commercial Credit Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze client financial information, identify and mitigate potential risks, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and evaluate collateral to determine credit worthiness.
  • Complete monitoring activities via analysis of clients’ financial performance and collateral evaluation to ensure appropriate requirements are met.
  • Listen in to client meetings to develop a deeper understanding of the client's business, management team, and past and future performance.
  • Review completed client requests to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
  • Understand how credit data is used internally and provided to regulatory partners.
  • Assist with periodic portfolio reviews and support the credit monitoring process for existing clients.
  • Prepare credit analysis to facilitate the decisioning of a client's credit worthiness.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of solid Commercial Banking experience.
  • Experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting, and portfolio management.
  • Analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling, and loan structuring.
  • Strong communication skills; ability to communicate vertically, horizontally, and externally.
  • Industry knowledge across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.
