Business Banker I, II or III (Level will be determined by experience) | Inverness

About the role

This position delivers a full range of banking services to businesses and business owners, with emphasis on client contact, sales, and service. The role requires significant outside business development activities and compliance with the S.A.F.E. Act, including registration in the NMLS Registry. Associates must adhere to the Bank's Motor Vehicle Guidelines and practice discretion with confidential client information.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for loan production, deposit production, fees, credit quality, and referrals each incentive period, as well as maintaining and servicing the current client portfolio.
• Grow the overall Business Banking portfolio, with goals provided.
• Call on retail clients and prospects, leveraging referrals and joint revenue opportunities with Corporate Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and other Business Partners.
• Build, maintain, and grow quality client portfolios that generate revenue for the Bank.
• Support overall Bank production goals as outlined by quarterly targets and scorecards.
• Sell and service existing businesses and business owners within the departmental portfolio.
• Identify business production opportunities and referrals to business partners.
• Meet with clients to discuss small business needs and recommend bank services.
• Conduct proactive business development and calling within assigned market areas.
• Cross-sell a full range of business banking services and products through joint efforts with Business Partners.
• Participate actively in the community to increase visibility.
• Demonstrate behaviors that support Top of House and department-specific strategic goals.
• Adhere to non-negotiable Banker Standards and practice SGNNT (smile, greet, name, name, thank you) at all times.
• Consistently follow policies and procedures established by Capital City Bank.
• Provide support to manager and department colleagues.
• Partner with assigned Client Service Managers and designated Business Partners.
• Complete all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college (relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement).
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in commercial or savings bank lending, operations, deposit management, administration, and/or cash management.
• Proficiency in credit and financial analysis, loan and credit structuring, loan documentation, and loan closing processes.
• Knowledge of Cash Management products, business loan products, and Consumer/Business banking products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn Capital City Bank operating software applications, including Jack Henry/Experience, Decision Pro, Synergy, and others as required.
