Business Banker
About the role
Sunflower Bank, N.A. is seeking a Business Banker to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development and a passion for building long-term relationships with clients.
Responsibilities
- Sourcing, securing, and developing profitable business banking relationships within the assigned region
- Identifying business needs and promoting ways to increase customer reliance on bank products and services
- Conducting interviews and visits to applicants to understand their financial situations and needs
- Managing existing portfolio and staying informed on credit quality trends
- Maintaining assigned annual goals for portfolio growth, new business development, and portfolio maintenance
- Working closely with the credit group on new credit requests and renewals
- Managing all communications with customers related to credit and non-credit issues
- Reviewing and negotiating loan documents with the commercial documentation department and Business Credit Management team
Requirements
- Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, preferred
- 3-5+ years of experience with business development
- Experience in commercial or business banking with general knowledge of lending laws and regulations
- Credit experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Skills
- Commercial banking experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships

The pay for this position is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some travel required.
