About the role
The Business Automation & AI Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between Evolving Solutions' business teams and its technology platforms. They identify inefficiencies and process gaps, and build automations, AI agents, and platform solutions to eliminate them.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with internal business stakeholders to understand current workflows, identify pain points, and gather requirements for technology-driven solutions.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable solution designs.
- Design, build, and maintain automations that solve real business problems using the Evolving Solutions technology stack: Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, SharePoint, Oracle NetSuite ERP, and Dynamics 365 Sales.
- Own solutions from concept to deployment.
- Leverage automation platforms to build workflows that integrate across the M365, Oracle NetSuite ERP, and Dynamics 365 Sales ecosystems.
- Build flows that are maintainable, well-documented, and built to scale rather than one-time fixes.
- Build and deploy AI agents using the right tool for the problem: Copilot Studio, Azure AI/OpenAI, Claude, or other emerging platforms.
- Design agents that automate knowledge work, surface information, or handle repetitive decision-making for internal teams.
- Leverage the full depth of the M365 product suite to solve business challenges, including SharePoint, Teams, Purview, Defender, Power Platform, Copilot, Entra ID, and Intune.
- Document all built solutions, automation flows, and system configurations.
- Maintain a current inventory of business systems, integrations, and active automations.
- Support Power BI reporting and NetSuite data needs as capacity allows.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a role that combines business process analysis with hands-on technology solution delivery (e.g. automation, integration, platform administration, or application development).
- Proven expertise with Power Automate, including building complex, multi-step cloud flows that integrate across M365, third-party APIs, and business systems (e.g. Oracle NetSuite ERP, Dynamics 365 Sales, SharePoint, Dataverse).
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying AI agents using one or more platforms: Copilot Studio, Azure AI/OpenAI, Claude/Anthropic, or equivalent.
- Deep, practical knowledge of the Microsoft 365 product suite — not just email and Teams, but the full breadth: Power Platform, Purview, Defender, Entra ID, SharePoint, Intune, and Copilot.

- Comfortable with challenging process assumptions and proposing alternatives backed by what the tools can actually deliver.
