You will provide strategic direction, performance oversight, coaching, and professional development to support the strategic direction and growth of Allstate's legal technology product portfolio and process redesign work for corporate legal teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executives, leading the strategic vision for the legal technology architecture and development of legal systems embedded within Allstate's Legal Department.
  • Lead technology transformation work, including contract lifecycle management, intake, compliance, ELM, and other legal operations-led process improvement initiatives, including workflows and automation for intake, approvals, document generation, and data capture, to drive significant efficiency gains and enable legal teams to operate in a more scalable, structured, and self-service model.

  • Prior experience in a law firm, legal technology provider, regulated professional services organization, or other highly confidential environment.
  • Understanding of attorney-client privilege, the work-product doctrine, and the legal and ethical duties, such as the ABA Model Rules and recent formal opinions on generative AI, that constrain how AI may be used in legal practice.
  • Experience building and/or refining MCP servers and designing evaluation/guardrail frameworks for autonomous agents.
  • Familiarity with legal-specific platforms and use cases (document review, contract analysis, legal research, drafting).
  • Background that combines software/AI engineering with exposure to litigation, eDiscovery, or knowledge management.
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or a related field; an advanced degree or JD is a plus but is not required in lieu of practical engineering experience.
