Business Architect

About the role
We are looking for a Business Architect to lead multiple teams consisting of developers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders in transforming business requirements, process flows, use cases, and integration documentation into scalable PEGA applications that meet organizational and user needs. This is a full-time contract, hybrid position requiring 2 days onsite and 3 days remote.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, translating technical concepts into business language and vice versa
- Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, Lead Business Analysts, and development teams to gather requirements and translate them into user stories and business requirements
- Collaborate with Lead System Architects and leadership to develop business and technical strategies
- Analyze business needs and recommend technology solutions that align with organizational goals
- Facilitate backlog refinement sessions, sprint planning, and Agile development activities
- Lead Agile teams and promote Agile best practices throughout the development lifecycle
- Manage software functional requirements throughout the SDLC
- Document business requirements, functional designs, test cases, training materials, and release documentation
- Define solution acceptance criteria and support software testing efforts
- Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
- Coordinate enterprise-level software configuration and deployment activities
- Develop and maintain training materials and conduct user and process training sessions
- Lead client workshops focused on software products, business processes, and solution adoption
- Create wireframes and other solution design artifacts to support business requirements
- Mentor Business Analysts and software development team members
- Support customer success initiatives and provide ongoing stakeholder engagement
- Integrate industry best practices into current business analysis and software delivery processes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- PEGA Business Architect Certification with a minimum of 3 years of post-certification experience
- 9+ years of relevant professional experience
- 7+ years of business analysis experience
- 7+ years of use case development experience
- 7+ years of experience as a PEGA Business Architect
- 7+ years of experience managing software functional requirements throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- 7+ years of Agile software development experience
- 7+ years of experience documenting requirements, functional designs, test cases, and training materials
- 7+ years of experience leading software testing and validation efforts
- 7+ years of experience deploying and configuring enterprise software solutions
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
- Experience capturing functional requirements and translating them into user stories
- Strong understanding of business process modeling and change management
- Strong interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
- Proven ability to lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and present to technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent technical study

- Broad experience working within organizations that develop and deliver software solutions to customers
- Experience serving as a strategic liaison between business and technical teams
- Experience mentoring Business Analysts and software development professionals
- Experience creating wireframes and visual solution designs
- Knowledge of enterprise software integration and deployment methodologies
- Technical IT background
- Experience supporting customer success and product adoption initiatives
Pay
$70 to $80 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on location, experience, and education.
