About the role
Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, or "CRMC", is a 25-bed, non-profit, critical access hospital serving Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma since 1949. Although we can provide many of the same services you will find in a big city, we take great pride in our friendly and caring staff.
Job Duties
- Supervise the daily work activities of CRMC Clinic Registration including pre-registration, benefit verification, registration for inpatient and outpatient services, and service pre-payment to ensure daily operations are maintained according to policy.
- Create and maintain an ongoing staff schedule and tracks time off requests.
- Train and coach staff for optimum performance in a constructive way by following our Human Resources policy.
- Coincide with patients for positive patient experience with accurate billing, establishing, payment plans, financial assistance, billing.
- Audit team members workloads to ensure that load leveling occurs due to job tasks and special projects.
- Afford customer service excellence to not only our patients but to staff and our internal – external customers.
Job Requirements
- Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; and excellent interpersonal skills in teaming with patients, medical staff and the public
- Detail oriented with proven ability to multitask
- Professional appearance and ease in developing rapport with others
- Working knowledge EMR, payer contracts, HIM and admissions/registration practices
- Computer skills including MSOffice, Outlook, Meditech, preferred
Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent work experience in field, required.
- Associate degree in business, Healthcare Management or related field, preferred.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a customer service role.
- Healthcare environment of any kind would be preferred.
- 1-3 years’ supervisory experience, preferred.
