Business Analytics Manager

About the role
The Consumer Bank Checking Acquisition & Marketing Analytics team is looking for a Business Analytics Manager to drive consumer household and checking portfolio growth. This role is for a player-coach—someone who is equally comfortable mentoring analysts and personally building campaign files, dashboards, and account and program valuations needed to enable the business. Responsibilities include leading campaign strategy and audience design, checking and household growth forecasting, marketing spend forecasting for a multi-million dollar annual budget, and performance analytics connecting marketing spend to measurable outcomes. The role also involves constructing business cases for new products, services, capabilities, and marketing channels.
The ideal candidate excels at building customer segmentation based on data signals and research, translating complex data into actionable insights, and communicating across all levels of the organization. This fast-paced environment rewards leaders who stay calm under pressure, pivot quickly, and deliver rigorous analysis while maintaining a big-picture perspective.
Responsibilities
- Proactively solve business problems using complex data.
- Leverage knowledge of KeyCorp and line-of-business strategy, business, and competition to anticipate needs and make recommendations.
- Drive projects end-to-end; prioritize multiple projects and manage tight deadlines.
- Review deliverables; coach others on approach and work product.
- Lead business partner interactions; drive results and provide recommendations aligned with business priorities.
- Effectively communicate with team and business partners; articulate broad implications and impact of messages.
- Address challenging situations; anticipate and resolve conflict with managerial courage.
- Proactively coach and guide the work of others; serve as a mentor within and beyond the team.
- Manage integration of activities within the team.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or Natural Sciences (required).
- Master’s degree in Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, Statistics, or Natural Sciences (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree (required) or minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with a master’s degree (preferred).
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data presentation.
- Ability to write queries or code, including complex joins.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools to create impactful data stories.
- Proficiency in analytical programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or Java.
- Understanding of process flow and automation.
- Ability to work with big data and navigate data warehouses or supply chains.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to develop others’ writing skills and deliver the right message at the right time.
- Strong presentation development; ability to coach others on appropriate detail and messaging.
- Comfort presenting to senior leadership and adapting confidently to change.
- Demonstrated leadership; may have direct reports; sought out for advice and serves as a mentor.

Work Environment
- General office setting: prolonged sitting, frequent communication (in-person or phone), and regular use of a PC/laptop.
- Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks or computer bags up to 10 lbs.
- Occasional travel, including overnight stays.
- Hybrid work schedule (3+ days in-office).
Pay
This position offers a base salary range of $96,000.00 – $181,000.00 annually. Placement within the range depends on skills, experience, and geographic location. The role is also eligible for incentive compensation, including production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
