Business Analytics/Data Analyst

About the Role

We are seeking a Business Analytics/Data Analyst for a Contract position in Arlington, Texas. This role focuses on transforming complex contract and business data into actionable insights to enhance reporting, compliance, and operational performance. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills with business intelligence expertise to interpret trends, validate information, and deliver practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and contract-related data to identify patterns, exceptions, and opportunities for improved decision-making.
• Build and maintain business intelligence reports, dashboards, and visual summaries for clear stakeholder communication.
• Review commercial contract information and related records to support audits, data validation, and reporting accuracy.
• Extract, organize, and abstract data from multiple sources to create reliable datasets for analysis and review.
• Use analytical tools to evaluate performance metrics, contract terms, and operational results across key business areas.
• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify reporting needs, refine data requirements, and provide insights into business trends.
• Monitor data quality by investigating inconsistencies, resolving discrepancies, and promoting accurate documentation standards.
• Prepare concise summaries and recommendations to help leadership understand risks, results, and areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Experience in data analysis, data analytics, or business intelligence within a detail-focused business environment.
• Proficiency with BI reporting tools and data analysis tools for interpreting and presenting business information.
• Working knowledge of commercial contracts, contract terms, and contract audit processes.
• Ability to abstract, structure, and validate data from different systems and source materials.
• Strong analytical thinking with the ability to translate detailed findings into practical business insights.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when reviewing datasets, reports, and contract-related information.
• Effective communication skills to explain analytical results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
