Business Analyst Technical Staff

About the role

Pinnacle Method Consulting seeks a Business Analyst to join our team. This position is responsible for sustaining business processes and systems, interpreting and monitoring compliance, and providing guidance to less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Business Process Management (BPM) including modeling, implementing, and assessing processes.
• Interprets and monitors departmental contractual compliance of government requirements such as CMS, HIPAA, ACA.
• Actively participates on national and local standards committees.
• Provides guidance to less experienced analysts.
• Maintains an understanding of current project management application development methodologies, tools, and techniques (SDLC).
• Participates as a subject matter expert in project teams and vendor activities for assigned projects.
• Supports projects and applications throughout the process and post-implementation, including interface trouble shooting, vendor relations, issue tracking, communication to customers, and opening incident tickets with developers.
• Facilitates the development and execution of user acceptance scenarios and scripts for testing system changes and enhancements.
• Gathers/Develops and documents business requirements and functional mapping documents to support system enhancements.
• Evaluates and provides assistance and guidance to process owners and internal stakeholders in process improvement activities.
• Develops, publishes, and maintains intermediate queries and reports for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly use.
• Turns data into useful and meaningful information for stakeholders to make timely and informed decisions.
• Captures, manipulates, and analyzes data from systems to assess trends for performance improvement initiatives and solve business or system-related problems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in health care, health insurance, business analysis, or information systems.
• One year of experience in health care, health insurance, business analysis, or information systems.
• Demonstrated intermediate skills with spreadsheets, word processing, and database applications.
• Demonstrated ability to design and run intermediate queries and reports.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
• Experience working in a health care related industry.
• Understanding of most types of information used in a health care environment and how data is produced, consumed, and transformed.
• Ability to solve complex problems.
• Ability to bring order to ideas and communicate business concepts to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Knowledge of health care related products and services.
• Knowledge of market dynamics, legal contracts, and health insurance regulations.
