Business Analyst Sr

About the Role

The Senior Business Analyst is customer-focused and facilitates turning data into actionable information to drive business processes and monitoring. This role collaborates to ensure relevant analysis and complete, timely reporting to meet TriWest business needs and Government healthcare requirements. The position facilitates meetings, identifies, collects, organizes, and prioritizes data requirements and business process changes to meet reporting needs. It clarifies complex business issues and recommends solutions while advocating for business process improvement through data analysis, process change, and technology application.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to receive a favorable Interim and adjudicated final Department of Defense (DoD) background investigation
• 3–5 years of experience in a Business Analyst or data analysis role
• Increasing involvement in moderate to complex projects
• Experience with process flow documentation and design

Preferred Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a healthcare environment
• TRICARE Analyst experience

Responsibilities

• Lead project team assignments of moderate scope requiring expert technical skills or a strong understanding of business functions
• Coach, mentor, and train team members
• Serve as a key member of the business analytics team, leveraging expert technical skills or a strong understanding of business functions
• Document reporting processes and collaborate with team members
• Respond under short turnaround times to provide data and answer detailed questions on data and trends
• Educate end users on report interpretation by telling the story behind the data
• Develop, deliver, and maintain quality IT solutions to support business processes in line with IT guidelines and architectures
• Balance clients' business requirements with preferred technical architecture
• Recommend creative and innovative solutions to business or technical problems
• Provide client support for operational systems consistent with service level agreements (SLAs)
• Ensure work is technically sound and compliant with established quality and timeliness standards
• Simplify or eliminate low-value-added work processes
• Increase understanding of the client’s business environment, priorities, processes, and emerging technology issues
• Deliver analysis and reporting products while managing client expectations
• Interface with customers and other departments to achieve project objectives
• Interact with vendors on routine testing matters
• Analyze and identify core business processes for application design
• Communicate issues openly, honestly, and timely with peers, management, and customers
• Prepare and present new initiatives to senior leadership to obtain buy-in and support
• Work with vendors to clarify and resolve tool/software functionality issues
• Participate in the definition, implementation, and execution of best practices
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance

Working Conditions

Pay

This position typically ranges from $96,000 to $101,000 per year.
