About the Role
The Business Analyst Specialist will support the delivery of the New gTLD Program by developing and optimizing processes and tools to manage the evaluation and processing of New gTLD applications. This role will serve as a support to key subject matter experts and process owners, and will be part of a larger team of Business Analysts addressing resource gaps or shifting workloads.
Responsibilities
- Support Program Leads and Subject Matter Experts in delivery of the New gTLD Program.
- Develop processes and detailed procedures to document ways of working where current gaps exist.
- Create tools to support efficient and effective execution of team activities, aligned with larger system capabilities.
- Assess and become fluent with policy requirements, process documentation, procedure documentation, and system functionality in assigned work areas to provide operational support and subject matter expertise.
- Identify and implement process improvements and tools to drive efficiency and effectiveness of program operations.
- Support governance and escalation processes through assessment of issues, risks, and open questions, developing documentation to drive resolution.
- Provide operational support to service owners through research, drafting materials, and issue management.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively across multiple project teams and functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business analyst role.
- Experience working in the domain name industry is a plus.
- Experience in an operational role or as a business analyst on a large technology or business transformation project is preferred.
- Experience working in global companies across multiple countries, cultures, and time zones is preferred.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required; additional languages are a plus.
Skills
- Process assessment and documentation.
- Ability to quickly learn new processes and ways of working.
- Ability to assess, design, and optimize business processes.
- Data analysis and proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with process optimization methodologies such as Kizan, Lean, Six-Sigma, Business Process Reengineering, Total Quality Management, SIPOC, etc.
- Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of advanced Excel functionalities (e.g., PivotTables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query).
Working Conditions
- Frequent trips to the Los Angeles office required.
- International travel may be required (approximately three times per year, 7-10 days per trip, likely on different continents).
- Comfort with an international work environment, including availability outside normal business hours.
Pay
Targeted base salary range: $60,000 – $82,000. The final compensation package will consider factors such as candidate’s location, work experience, knowledge, skills, and other compensable factors.
