About the Role

Seeking a seasoned Payments (Finance) Functional Domain Expert with strong business consulting and analysis experience to ideate, discover, and define business solutions by collaborating with SMEs and technical teams. The candidate will build business cases, create functional documentation, and perform hands-on product testing while leveraging deep Finance domain expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and requirement-gathering workshops with business stakeholders and SMEs.
• Identify business problems, opportunities, and improvement initiatives.
• Build business cases, ROI assessments, and solution recommendations.
• Collaborate with SMEs, business users, and technical teams to define functional requirements.
• Create and maintain BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, use cases, and functional specifications.
• Understand reverse-engineered documentation and groom functional specifications & user stories for forward engineering.
• Validate the reverse-engineered documentation for completeness and correctness.
• Translate business requirements into actionable solutions for development teams.
• Perform hands-on product testing, UAT, and functional validation.
• Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Track defects and coordinate issue resolution with technical teams.
• Support product implementation, training, and change management activities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of overall experience.
• 10+ years of strong Payments domain experience.
• Proven experience in business discovery and solution ideation.
• Experience building business cases and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience in product testing and UAT.
• Experience working closely with SMEs and technical teams.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
