Business Analyst — Model Risk & Governance

About the role

We’re seeking a Business Analyst with deep model risk management expertise to join a high-visibility engagement at a major financial institution. This is a client-facing, onshore position supporting a program focused on translating model risk governance policies and regulatory requirements into actionable product backlogs and technology implementations.

Responsibilities

• Translating model risk governance standards and MRM policies into structured product backlogs and user stories that development teams can execute against
• Partnering with product and technology teams to embed regulatory and model risk requirements into system design and implementation
• Serving as a subject matter resource on MRM policy, standards, and regulatory expectations in a client-facing capacity
• Bridging the gap between risk and compliance stakeholders and technical delivery teams

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Model Risk Management — MRM policy, governance frameworks, SR 11-7 or equivalent regulatory standards
• Background as a Business Analyst or Product Analyst in a financial services environment, ideally banking
• Proven ability to take complex regulatory or risk requirements and translate them into clear, executable product backlogs
• Comfortable operating in a client-facing role and communicating across risk, product, and technology stakeholders
• Experience working within or alongside model validation, model governance, or risk technology programs

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience supporting program management on model risk or regulatory technology initiatives
• Familiarity with model inventory systems, model lifecycle tooling, or risk platforms
• Prior consulting or client engagement experience
