Business Analyst (Mid-Level)
Location: Anywhere in Bangladesh
Job Type: Full-Time
Workplace Type: Full-time
About The Project
We are building federated dataspaces inspired by initiatives such as Catena-X, Eclipse Tractus-X, and Gaia-X. Dataspaces will enable secure, standards-compliant, and sovereign data exchange across industrial and regulated ecosystems. Our infrastructure is designed to be provider-agnostic, supporting deployment across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and DigitalOcean. We aim to abstract the complexity of dataspace participation and deliver a seamless experience to data providers and consumers.
The scope includes the full architecture of the dataspace:
- Identity and trust management (DID, DAPS, OAuth2)
- Semantic metadata modelling and knowledge graphs
- Policy-based access control and contract negotiation
- Federated service discovery and data catalogues
- Data governance, auditability, and lifecycle management
You will be part of a cross-functional team contributing to an ambitious and highly impactful infrastructure platform from the ground up.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Mid-Level Business Analyst to act as a bridge between our stakeholders, our product owners, and our engineering team. You will gather requirements, translate them into clear and well-formed stories, support the team during planning ceremonies, and gradually take ownership of small workstreams under the mentorship of senior colleagues. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys understanding why a piece of software needs to exist, not only what it does. You will be coached on the technical domain—you are not expected to arrive as an expert in federated data exchange—but you are expected to arrive as someone who can read, listen, summarise, and write with precision.
Responsibilities
- Gather requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, and written exchanges; document them in clear, unambiguous language.
- Write user stories with well-formed acceptance criteria; collaborate with developers and QA to ensure stories are testable.
- Maintain the team's backlog in Jira: grooming, prioritizing, linking dependencies, keeping epics and stories up to date.
- Support and gradually facilitate Agile ceremonies—sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Produce supporting artefacts as required: process flows, user journey maps, requirement specifications, and decision logs.
- Liaise between business stakeholders and the engineering team; surface risks, ambiguities, and trade-offs early.
- Use AI tools efficiently—for research, summarization, drafting requirements, generating first-pass diagrams—while taking full responsibility for the accuracy and quality of any artefact you sign off on.
