Business Analyst - Jackson, MS

About the role

The CS Business Analyst role is available to Veterans, Transitioning Military, National Guard and Reserve Members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. This role involves maintaining relationships with end users for small to medium scale projects, eliciting requirements/user stories, and representing them throughout the systems development cycle.

Responsibilities

• Captures and documents business process models and business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional)
• Develops comprehensive user acceptance testing/training plans and ensures successful transition to production
• Investigates business issues and data challenges
• Serves as the requirements liaison across project stakeholders
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline preferred or equivalent experience
• 3+ years in an applicable business environment
• 3+ years' experience in a BA role

Qualifications

• Working technical knowledge and understanding of business analyst fundamentals
• Working technical knowledge of writing and leading Business Requirements Documents
• Working technical knowledge of business process modeling; knowledge in business/functional domain
• Understanding of business issues and data challenges of the assigned business area
• Understanding of business processes and how applications support the process
• Demonstrate critical skills such as collaboration, strong written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capability
• Ability to facilitate sessions with project stakeholders, asking probing questions to elicit business process discussion and creating process flow diagrams
