BUSINESS ANALYST II
The Marvin Group is a leading defense contractor specializing in the development and manufacturing of military aerospace and vehicle systems. Based in Southern California, the company comprises Marvin Engineering (MEC), Marvin Test Solutions (MTS), and Marvin Land Systems (MLS), serving the Department of Defense and global allies for over 60 years.
About the role
The Business Analyst (BA) will report directly to the IT Application Manager, providing Super User and end-user support for operational issues, configuration, enhancements, and key projects within SAP. The role involves delivering best-practice solutions, training, and process improvements across one or more functional areas, including:
- Contracts & Business Development
- Program Management
- Operations (backup for primary analyst)
- Depot
- Finance
The BA should be an expert in one or more of the following business processes:
- Order-to-cash process (SAP SD Module: contract, delivery, billing)
- Production planning process (SAP PP module)
- Depot process (SAP MRO process)
- Finance and Controlling processes (SAP FI/CO module)
Responsibilities
- Identify areas of improvement in SAP to increase process efficiencies based on business requirements.
- Interact with all levels of the organization to ensure SAP meets business needs.
- Document issues, new requirements, and respond to customer needs through regular engagement with internal stakeholders.
- Provide customer service, support issues, and ticket requests within SAP.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in a related field (or 3+ years of professional work experience).
- Minimum of 3–5 years of professional work experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid knowledge of business processes in SD, PP, FI/CO modules, or MRO process.
- Proven experience in business process documentation, process improvements, and problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Self-starter with good judgment, attention to detail, and strong customer service focus.
- Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle and Lean principles in manufacturing.
- Project management skills.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Must read, write, and speak English.
- Must meet export control compliance requirements as a "U.S. person" under ITAR (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, political asylee, or refugee).

Pay
Base Salary Range (Inglewood location only): $104,000 – $130,000
