Job Summary
A Business Analyst II (BA II) is a mid-level professional responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering and documenting requirements, and supporting the delivery of business and technology solutions. This role typically works with moderate independence, manages stakeholder relationships, and may lead smaller projects or initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement
- Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making
- Evaluate business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across teams
- Lead or support mid-sized projects and initiatives
- Assist with project planning, tracking, and delivery coordination
- Communicate with business and technical teams to validate requirements
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria and business goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, systems, and requirements
- Track project metrics and report on performance and outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, or related field
- Typically 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or related roles
- Strong skills in data analysis and problem-solving
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with business process modeling and documentation
- Familiarity with tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI/Tableau, Jira, Confluence (or similar tools)
