Business Analyst I, Hospital Billing

Major Responsibilities

Maintains control/validation processes in accordance with department standards.

Works with cross functional staff, IT, or relevant hospital departments to request and improvements to systems and reports.

Escalates issues to management in a timely manner.

Responds timely and accurately for off cycle data requests.

Partners and collaborates with other performance improvement teams to facilitate and promote the sharing of knowledge and content throughout departments.

Follows all established departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate’s degree
• Preferred: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Required: Three to five years of experience in health care billing, reimbursement or managed care
• Experience with revenue cycle systems, third party contracts, payment policies, claim processes
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Intermediate Excel skills
• Previous business analyst experience
• Ability to perform assigned tasks efficiently and in timely manner
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people
