Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support well-defined analytical projects designed to enhance business processes and create value throughout the department.
  • Develop and maintain strategic and operational reporting at the request of senior leaders and external clients.
  • Perform routine and ad hoc analytical tasks to support larger-scale business initiatives.
  • Develop an understanding of key tables and field definitions in the data warehouse; know how these fields are used in existing reporting, and be consistently able to create accurate queries.
  • Partner with senior analysts both inside and outside of the department to articulate more complex data needs that cannot be met through existing reporting or SQL queries.
  • Delve into business line reporting and data cubes to obtain data, identify trends, recognize anomalies, and inform decisions.
  • Interpret data while building intuition around data requirements, aggregation, and organization.
  • Develop oral and written communication skills by soliciting feedback on project presentations from analyst team and senior leaders.
  • Communicate requirements with Business Intelligence and Business Solutions teams when an IT solution is needed.
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of existing business processes, operational metrics, and the current regulatory environment.
  • Participate in team discussions designed to generate creative ideas to create value through analytical initiatives.
  • Obtain Results-driven Process Management (RPM) certification as soon as possible upon hiring.

Skills & Qualifications

  • 2-3 years similar experience required.
  • Advanced skills in Excel (charts, formulas, and macros), PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Excellent knowledge of data structures and experience working in SAS, SQL or other analytic or business reporting languages.
  • Experience with Report Builder (SSRS) or Power BI is a plus.
  • Leverage Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  • Aptitude for details coupled with organizational and project management skills.
  • Possess the ability to multi-task, respond well to pressure and deadlines, and work well individually and in a team environment.
  • Flexible to changing priorities, project scopes, and deadlines.

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (analytical or quantitative field preferred such as Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematical Sciences, etc.).
