This is a contract-to-hire, 100% remote position open to candidates anywhere in the United States.
Schedule
40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET.
Pay
Hourly pay range: $57–$62.50/hour (W2). If converted to a permanent role, salary range: $100,000–$105,000 plus a 10% bonus.
Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements; develop user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate business requests and technical issues to define scope, uncover root causes, and recommend solutions.
- Partner with IT teams, leadership, and end users to design automation opportunities, improve workflows, and communicate project progress.
- Create source-to-target data mapping analysis.
- Lead data requirements workshops with business owners and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute test plans; conduct data quality assurance and validation activities.
- Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including scheduling, execution, and formal approvals.
- Create and maintain end-user guides, technical documentation, and process documentation.
- Maintain detailed project records including requirements, decisions, action items, timelines, test artifacts, and meeting documentation.
- Participate in and facilitate project meetings, providing status updates and issue resolution.
- Recognize project delays or risks early and take corrective action to keep initiatives moving forward.
- Own the investigation and resolution of technical and operational issues.
- Analyze and resolve data issues using tools such as Excel, PostgreSQL/SQL, Python, and JSON.
- Troubleshoot across system layers, from application functionality to database structures.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to support business and technical decisions.
- Apply agile modeling techniques (process flows, data models, system diagrams) to clearly communicate requirements to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
- Working knowledge of data integration (ETL/ELT), data warehousing, and reporting frameworks.
- Advanced experience creating SQL queries (joins, where clauses, group by).
