About the role
This is a highly responsible Business Analyst position within the EBT Product Team in the Government Solutions line of business. The candidate must be capable of understanding business needs and translating those into technical documentation, gathering business requirements, determining cost and pricing for products, complete testing of new products, solutions, and system enhancements, and attending planning meetings.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes and documents business processes and metrics and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Develops recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.
- Delivering working product increments to our clients, on time, on budget and according to the best quality standards.
- Working with product management, stakeholders, peers, and teams to define and prioritize the product backlog for your team.
- Driving improvements in solution design, analysis, and testing activities.
- Performs analyses of the business goals, objectives, and needs of the general business environment for appropriate segment, division, group, or line of business.
- Performs research and analysis to support business operations and presents findings to manager or project leader.
- Plans and designs business processes and make recommendations and changes in order to improve and support business systems and activities and/or to deliver greater effectiveness and efficiency.
- Utilizes systems and data to resolve business issues in the most effective and productive manner.
- Identifies and implements best practices and suggests how to improve current practices.
- Calculates/estimates costs and benefits of alternative actions or solutions to establish their viability/return on investment.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proficiency in industry-standard process methodologies.
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent experience.
- Microsoft Office experience
- A general understanding of federal and state government programs like SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, WIC, Employment & Training, and the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program is highly desired.
- Knowledge of other programming languages and platforms is welcome but not required.
- Knowledge of policies, and state and federal regulations for public assistance programs is highly desirable but not required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent experience.
